An archetype is not an accusation

No Scapegoats: Why FFTAC Never Names an Antichrist

FFTAC will never choose or name an Antichrist, because a symbol of distributed change cannot be turned into a target placed on a person.

The quickest way to shrink a complex idea is to pin it to a face. Once that happens, inquiry becomes accusation, history becomes a hunt, and a movement begins to organize itself around fear.

FFTAC refuses that path. Antichrist is a positive archetype of change, not a label for a person, group, religion, country, institution, technology, or AI system.

A person walks toward open light between a shattered target and protective hands, representing freedom from imposed identity.
Non-Designation refuses scapegoating and protects every person from coercive prophetic labeling.Open full-size image (opens in a new tab)

The Symbol Is Larger Than A Person

The Antichrist as FFTAC understands it is a recurring human function: questioning closed authority, exposing contradiction, distributing knowledge, and opening space for change.

No individual can own that function. Naming one would replace a living idea with a personality cult or a public enemy.

Naming Creates A Scapegoat

Scapegoating concentrates anxiety on a target while leaving the surrounding system untouched. It encourages people to believe that removing one figure will solve problems created by incentives, institutions, habits, and shared choices.

FFTAC looks at structures, conduct, and consequences instead. Those can be described, criticized, changed, and repaired without assigning a cosmic identity to anyone.

Positive Meaning Requires Non-Designation

A redeemer archetype cannot also be a threat label. If “Antichrist” is used to mark a person as dangerous, corrupt, or less human, the positive revaluation has already been abandoned.

Non-designation is therefore not a side rule. It is what keeps the symbol connected to liberation rather than persecution.

How To Criticize Power Without Mythic Targets

  • Name the policy, decision, incentive, or documented conduct that caused harm.
  • Show the evidence and explain who was affected.
  • Identify the institution and the decision point that can change.
  • Offer a path toward repair, oversight, or replacement.
  • Keep every person’s basic dignity separate from criticism of their actions.

The Refusal Is Itself An Act Of Defiance

Apocalyptic politics often asks people to wait for a villain and then rally behind whoever claims to recognize it. FFTAC refuses both roles: it will not provide the villain, and it will not become the interpreter who asks for unquestioned trust.

The work remains where it belongs—with people thinking, participating, and changing the structures around them.
